Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

(as per POSH Act, 2013)

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of Geetai Institute of Management, Bidkin, is constituted in accordance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act).

The committee is committed to providing a safe, secure, and gender-sensitive environment for all students, teaching staff, and non-teaching staff. It ensures prevention, prohibition, and redressal of complaints related to sexual harassment within the institution.

Objectives

  • To prevent incidents of sexual harassment in the institution
  • To provide a safe and respectful working and learning environment
  • To address complaints in a fair, confidential, and time-bound manner
  • To promote awareness about gender sensitivity and legal provisions

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Receiving and addressing complaints of sexual harassment
  • Conducting impartial inquiries as per prescribed procedures
  • Ensuring confidentiality and protection of complainants
  • Recommending appropriate disciplinary action
  • Organizing awareness programs and sensitization workshops
  • Submitting reports to the competent authority

Procedure for Filing Complaint

Any aggrieved individual may submit a written complaint to the ICC within the prescribed time frame. The committee ensures a fair inquiry process while maintaining strict confidentiality.
