Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC)
The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) of Geetai Institute of Management, Bidkin, is established to ensure inclusive education and equal access to opportunities for all students, particularly those belonging to socially and economically disadvantaged groups (SEDGs).
The cell functions in alignment with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and aims to promote equity, social justice, and a non-discriminatory academic environment within the institution.
Objectives
- To ensure equal opportunities in academic and institutional activities
- To promote inclusivity and diversity on campus
- To support students from SC/ST/OBC/Minority and other disadvantaged backgrounds
- To prevent discrimination based on caste, gender, religion, or economic status
- To create awareness about constitutional rights and social equality
Roles & Responsibilities
- Addressing issues related to discrimination and inequality
- Providing academic and psychological support to disadvantaged students
- Organizing awareness programs on social justice and inclusivity
- Monitoring implementation of reservation policies and welfare schemes
- Facilitating access to scholarships and government schemes
- Promoting a barrier-free and inclusive campus environment
