Introduction: Geetai Instittue of Management, Bidkin is committed to providing a safe and conducive environment for learning, free from any form of ragging. Ragging is strictly prohibited as per UGC regulations and the Indian Penal Code.

Definition of Ragging: Ragging includes any conduct by words, spoken or written, or by an act that has the effect of teasing, treating, or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student. It includes acts of psychological harm or intimidation, disruption of academic activities, or forcing a student to perform actions against their will.

Preventive Measures:

  • Display of anti-ragging posters across campus.
  • Formation of an Anti-Ragging Committee and Anti-Ragging Squad.
  • Conducting awareness programs for students and staff.
  • Obtaining anti-ragging affidavits from students and parents during admission.

Complaint Redressal: Students can report ragging incidents to the Anti-Ragging Committee, faculty, or administrative office. Complaints can also be made anonymously via the suggestion box or the college’s grievance portal.

Disciplinary Actions:

  • Immediate suspension of the accused student(s).
  • Inquiry by the Anti-Ragging Committee.
  • Based on findings, actions may include fines, expulsion, or filing an FIR.
